Nice shot, thanks for sharing it. Looks like it's got pretty low chroma noise, which is really pleasing to me. Can't wait to see more footage.

Is the M-X expected to be rated the same as the original mysterium?
The rating will absolutely be going up![]()
Well about that dynamic range, one more stop means you get the sane image you are used to from R1 and you get an added stop to use for nothing but highlight handling, right?

I need some gurus to analyze the picture for my amusement, even if it isn't one designed for nitpicking.
I think people are analyzing the Mr. T picture a little too much. It's a prototype image from a prototype camera. That aside, it does look pretty good. There's that whole moire or mosaic pattern throughout the whole image, but like they said, it's a prototype or beta demosaic on a prototype sensor... This is just a taste of what is to come.
But wasn't the undisputed top concern with digital/RR vs. film the way that the highlights are handled, how they clip out so abruptly?
I remember a while back Jim posted shots of wild animals and eagles he took himself at ridiculously close range
not later than summer?.. :yikes:It should be a very nice summer for RED ONE owners...
This is done in-camera with most systems, in the post production with raw footage like the RED.
Exactly, so I guess my question is if an under exposed image's histogram look like this one does? Jared said it was un-touched and it seems to have a very long roll off, or whatever the proper way to describe it might be.
the blacks seem to be crushed
