  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Media 100 Red Support

jazz???

bah, try bernoulli drives!

;-)

While we are reminising, lets not forget about 0S 8.x/9, conflicting extensions, terminating scsi connections, expensive ram, slow video cards, etc.

Still feel warm and fuzzy?

Hate to nitpick guys, but we seem to have lost sight of the original question. What can we Red users suggest so that the Media 100 developers can release a tool we would like?

Seems to me it might be an opportunity for us to do something useful with all our gripes about how Red interfaces with FCP/Avid/Adobe - hand them onto the competitors to consider. Can only be a good thing in the long run.

First thing I'd like to see is RED Rocket implementation. How 'bout that?!

RED Rocket support for full native r3d editing in the timeline.
Complete fully working "offline' to "online" tool to get from QT offline editing to r3d online editing.
RED post production still has a long way to go for a clean working workflow that is solid.

I agree that there needs a lot to be done to build an efficient RED workflow in all NLEs. So I think it is great to see a company really looking for some user feedback to build something useful for us Editors. i am definitely getting onto the beta (although I have to admit I am a big Media 100 supporter anyway).
