  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

MC5 with RED ROCKET

Okay, none of these versions actually worked for me. Then I realized that there's no REDLINE version clarification. If Avid is using the REDLINE SDK to utilize the REDROCKET, it would be important to know which REDLINE version should be used conjunction with the RR driver and the firmware versions.

Avid doesn't use Redline.

Hi, thank you both, that is great that Avid did the work on their own to support RR!

So I can test with the latest REDCINE-X and the REDLINE while I continue to use MC5 and the RR as long as the firmware and the driver software are compatible. I will see what happens and let everyone know.

That's what I did. I have MC5 and RedCine-X installed on the same machine, with the same firmware. You just can't have both access the Rocket at the same time, so you may need to close one or the other in order for them to be able to address the card.

Job,

Yes, I knew that is what you did intentionally. I meant to test with the latest REDCINE-X, too.

However, with the version specified to me still not rendering out fast enough so I have to check around each settings (I'm new to MC). I know MC5 is grabbing RR because when I boot up REDCINE-X, I get that usual "warning".

I have the R3D to be handled "full" in the media tool. Is there anything else I should be checking? Thanks very much.

You should be good to go with debayer set to FULL in the Media Creations settings.

Michael

Thanks Michael.
