  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

MC 2.8 to MC 3

I am waiting excitedely for my copy of MC 3.0 and dongle to arrive... Till then I need to get together some info for the FilmScribe XML export from the offline editors...

What do I request from them for an XML export from from MC 3.0 they use MC 2.8:

Is it enough with:

The sequence bin (MXF files)
EDL 16

Also is there a downloader somewhere for MC 3.0???

MC v3 can be upgraded and downloaded from Avid.com with your system ID and dongle serial number. If you want to manage the list generation, the offline editors just need to provide you with a bin and the final seqeunce(s). From there you can open the bin in Avid FilmScribe and export the master XML to start the process.
