  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

May Update... The month of Raven

You probably beat the 2nd surge of orders that went in before Red announced the price increase, at least.

I'm just glad that I didn't wait any longer than I did to get my order in for my first Red. What a bummer for people ordering either the Scarlet-W Raven right now. Or anytime after NAB for that matter. :-/
 
So it's June in few hours. Jarred/ Brent, are you resuming Scarlet W production tomorrow? Talk to us
 
Yeah, I'd love to know at least a ballpark where we are at in the time stamps with Scarlet-W. Are we still in October? November? December?

I know you guys are working like crazy and making incredible cameras for us. I can be patient. I'm just really curious of the ballpark. With a Jan. 1st time stamp, is June too ambitious? July?.....August?
I know there are probably a TON more Ravens than Scarlet-Ws, but I have my fingers crossed that I can have some fun with that beautiful 5K RED Dragon footage before summer's end.

Hope Jarred gives us a peek into that crystal ball tomorrow.

Hopefully by the end of the week we will hear from them. The April update was posted a few days before the month began, and the May update was posted a few days into May. Plus, the concept of monthly updates (I'd imagine) are only for this very specific time in RED production as the demand is so high.
 
I'm also incredibly excited that Scarlet-W production is starting back up. It would be really super nice if people who post saying they got their camera, could let us in on their timestamp. Not that it will make the cameras come any faster, but it will really help ramp up my internal feeling of excited anticipation. Sort of like being a kid on Christmas eve, or watching the clock tick the last day of elementary school before summer break.
 
Not that it's a major development but I had a mid March order for Scarlet, bunch of accessories, plus a I/O expander, and 4.7" monitor and they just shipped my monitor today. They must be plowing through tons of lines of accessory orders too!

Thats awesome, I'd just love to hear from my rep how this is possible seeing as how I'm in January also with a Scarlet I/O package/extras and I haven't heard so much as a whisper about my camera...

sounds like because he ordered ala carte and you ordered a pkg.

i hope it has something to do with the mysterious M3 port!
 
I'm beyond excited for new scarlet-w allocations. I've been using a loaner epic which is a beast, but am rigging it up in all sorts of weird ways since all my aks and accessories are for dsmc2. No more gaff taping batteries to the glide cam sled!
 
I'm hoping that mine will arrive before I need a loaner... and RT motion is estimating mid-June for shipping their Latitude system... so I'll probably end up putting my Red Rock on the market... well, now. :)

And then hope that RT Motion doesn't run into the same "problem" that Red did and ends up being overwhelmed with preorders. :)
