  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

lovely. While I may have lost out on the powerball lottery yesterday this would easily make up for it. Keep rocking on Jarred and co. ;)

For what it's worth, I think I've learned a lot since ordering just reading through the forums daily. Amazing things happening here.

Already May 8th, time flies when you're having fun.

As a first time RED owner but long time in the forum and renting, the amount of communication has been something almost unbelievable compared with other brands. With that amount of transparency you also get not so good news like the month pause for my impending Scarlet, but instead of getting frustrated and angrily posting on a thread, I messaged Brent to ask about my order; knowing that he must have the craziest inbox, I didn't expect a reply... Maybe a few hours later not only did he reply but we had a really nice short conversation.

That was pretty cool. I'm really looking forward to my first RED.

As someone that works in manufacturing and product support I have a unique view on these situations. When you are in manufacturing and sales you get really excited to debut a new product that you know will be a game changer. I never understood the extreme patience that it takes to have this info and not be able to share it. Red bucks that trend as dangerous as it may be so I can tell you that this is just as tough on them as it is on their customers.

Jarred, I love it how you say what everyone in sales always thinks, "I am going to start modifying the Que line based on peoples' attitude." I just want to say that I truly know what you guys are going through.

I have no skin in the game anymore but still love to follow what goes on. I echo the sentiment that the supportive customers that hang tight are the ones that get rewarded. FWIW

That's what I hear! And if there's one thing I really care about being delivered on time, it's the baby and not the camera, haha. Thanks for the congrats!

Dont worry Matthew I actually looked you up first and saw you had your camera already. Regardless... You have earned a favor from me so tuck that favor away in a drawer somewhere and pull it out when you need it.

I'm going to try something new... Instead of always swinging baseball bats at dumbasses that can't learn to be civil with each other, I am going to randomly reward the good guys every once in awhile.

And I don't want people to start kissing our ass with the intention of getting free stuff.. In the future random acts of kindness will be based off of those of you who selflessly help each other here on a constant basis... not those who just fling compliments towards us.

Add to that, my Birthday, Father's Day, my RED User's anniversary, and all the holidays in a year.... It's bigger than huge Patrick... I am a RED addict and all my work has been shot and will be shot with RED. Including next week's project which I will begin shooting my 2nd feature film in Italy! with RED! :)
 
That's so cool and nice! Eagerly awaiting my first RED to come out of the oven. Hope the pretty little Raven lands on my door stop soon! Coming from a DSLR I am so stoked!! I've learnt so much already by reading this forum and hope to meet more in the community.

Great idea!

I have just read @canonrumors.com that Canon cannot meet all of the preorders for the new EOS-1D X Mark II. I don't believe that you get any answer from Canon HQ. Thanks Jarred and Brent for keeping us informed. Hope to get my Weapon Upgrade in June/July.

This is just...wow. I've truly never seen anything like that and I'm going to tell everyone about it next time someone is bashing RED customer care
