Mavericks Invitational 2013 Recap // Filmed on Scarlet

I got the oportunity to get on a very nice boat to head over and watch the Mavericks Invitational Surf competition yesterday. Here is my video highlighting the day: https://vimeo.com/57905201

Filmed at 4k, 3k, 2k, and a few shots at 1k 120fps. It was very challenging holding the camera steady from the boat but having the canon 100mm IS helped out a little. hope you guys enjoy it.

hey i really enjoyed the video. I was wondering something, on a few of the shots i could see that they seemed "soft" to me, i was wondering if that was a product of trying to get the focus of a moving object (which is extremely difficult) or was that a product of going down to 2k and even 1k? a lot of the stuff was at higher frame rates and i was wondering when you went to higher fps did you see a severe loss in sharpness. either way considering it is an action sports video i think it works well. Great job! Keep shooting!
