I am looking at these two options for a new Weapon.

At BT website it say Viv "covers lenses as wide as a 14mm Cooke S4 and still uses 3 filter stages. Use RED Pro Zooms at 5K."
At OConnor site it says "The OConnor O-Box WM is a two-stage mattebox designed around the 16:9 format full-size sensor. A wide-angle system, it accommodates lenses up to 18mm (and in some cases wider)."

Does this mean that neither system will work with the Canon 11-24mm f/4 zoom lens?
If the answer is "Yes", does this mean I must use only screw-in filters?

Once the Weapon arrives, I anticipate the Canon 11-24 will get a lot of use.

Thanks for the help.

OK, I found the answer in a lens review:
"With its monstrous front element, it is not currently possible to fit any filters in front of the Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L USM (the lens allows for rear gel filters though). So if you are intending to fit a polarizer or gradated filter on the Canon, you are out of luck because it only accepts slot-in gel filters at the back."

Sorry to bother.

I have both bright tangerine and o-box, I never use the matte box on either less then 18mm. The huge Dna bright tangerine matte box can get to super wide lenses but I normally only use that for glare issues that arise on super wide shots (and that larger BT matte box is really only for tripod use).

I've used the Viv with the black hole on a Nikon 14-24 and there was no vignette, even on a full frame camera.

Not sure about the canon but it will allow you to use filters
