Hey Guys,
I'm a commercial shooter and indie filmmaker new to the Red universe. I currently shoot on the Sony F3, 5D Mark III, and C100. The F3 has built in ND filters, and I use a screw on variable ND for most of my Canon shoots.
I'm putting in a lot of money (by my standards) into my first Red package, and from my research, it seems like good ND is pretty much a necessity. I'd like to move away from screw on NDs, and I've heard most variable ND filters are a bust on the Dragon sensor anyway. That being said, I'm in the market for a decent matte box/ND filter kit.
Any recommendations?
