Hello everyone, im shooting on two RED cameras and am having trouble matching the look of the image on both cameras. "A" Cam has the mysterium chip and "B" Cam has the regular red sensor, both are on build 30.

the problem is A Cam's footage looks very yellow, almost sepia tone while B Cam's footage looks normal. Ive tried matching the settings (color temp, shutter etc) on both cameras and no luck.:banghead: i understand this is easily fixable in post but would like to correct this problem on the camera.

any ideas for fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

I've encountered the same thing when testing out both sensors. The footage of the MX cam looked yellowish/greenish compared to the footage of the camera with the regular sensor.

They both had the same settings and showed the same colors on the monitor, but when previewed on the computer the footage looked different (besides the obvious differences that come with the sensors).

so im not alone on this one. did you come up with any fixes Leonard?

No, sorry. I was just testing the cameras to choose one for the next shoot. I didn't have any time to examine the problem any further.

yeah shane, the footage looks fine on the director's monitor, but it looks yellow when viewed on the computer. same issue w/ the R3D files.

i opened the footage from "A" Cam in redcine X and everything looks fine! what would i need to download specifically so that the footage wouldnt look yellow on RED ALERT?

We used for S3D commercial under Build 21 for Two Non-Mysterium X sensor cameras and even asked Studio Daily 3D webinar. The reply was to match it on the post. We done it on the post.

You cant match two sensors identical in camera, since two sensors are never the same!

thanks alot for your help guys!

So, with all the proper updated plugins, is it realistic for a 2 Camera shoot to try and match if one cam is M and the other MX (both rated at 320)?

Looking for an answer to this question for a shoot with an original Mysterium sensor camera and a MX version. Set them both at 320 and correct any color issues in RCX?
