I am in preproduction for a commercial spot. Our primary A Cam is a Red Scarlet Dragon. We are shooting a couple scenes with our B-CAM, the sony A7s. Does anyone have any recommendations to profile settings to match the two cameras? Looking forward for the feedback.

Wouldn't it be safer to shoot for detail protection and match in post?

they both match pretty well only issue is exposure (which is a pain with the Sony cause if you shot under or over your in trouble) and especially in the sun you will have some issues so when it comes to sony try to have a nice neutral exposure setting so you can work your magic in post. Other than that you are golden and the GH4 is a beast too (actually does a better job than the A7sii in my opinion)

Thank you for the tips. Neil I am going to be shooting a campfire scene. We were gonna just use the natural light from the campfire because we did not have the budget for a flickerbox, generator and outdoor lighting. Do you still think the GH4 is a better option rather than the A7s with atomos shogun? We will be matching it in post as well. I just to make sure it is as accurate as it can be in camera.
