A few things that frustrate me is that we still don't have all the specs on the 8K sensor, as in max frame rates at 6K, 5.5K, 4K, and so in. Improvements over the current 6K dragon sensor regarding stops?
The most frustrating thing is still the glass size factor. I want to use Master Primes because I personally think they are the best quality for what I want to shoot. I know that 25mm and up, the master primes work flawless on dragon at 6K. So I'm debating on not doing the upgrade. Unless someone can shed more light. I know there are a small handful of FF zooms, and a few prime sets that supposedly cover the VV FF circle as well as some MF glass but, none of those sets come close to the optical quality of master primes. I saw on here last week how some master anamorphics worked well on the 8K sensor...
Can an anyone shed some light on this subject? Could I still use the master primes on the 8K sensor in 6K mode? Would I sacrifice depth of field by not using as much physical sensor area at 6K? It would be good to know some actual specs though so I can know if other factors such as improved performance over the 6K dragon sensor make the upgrade extra worth it.
