  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Master Lighting for Drama with ’24’ Cinematographer Rodney Charters ASC

I only watched the first video, the lighting did absolutely nothing for me. And I’m guessing the other 48,000 viewers felt pretty much the same way, judging from the lack of comments.

I guess they didn't comment because whom would be arrogant and self-important enough to question someone with his years of experience in the area of film and episodic TV. I mean personally I thought the videos would be longer and be a more in-depth exploration of lighting technique etc. but it was what it was. It was never meant to be a in-depth multi-day lighting seminar.

In all fairness the series is titled "Master Lighting for Drama" when in reality it's just a Nanlite ad. Go Rodney, get paid, but there's literally zero instruction in this "master" class.

Good Luck

Yeah it was an Nanlite ad , but the instructions was from a Master of Lighting. Like most supposing "Master" Courses you take online or in Classrooms, The courses are a little above average at best. You don't really obtain "MASTER" level knowledge from taking them.
