I'm at the top of the pre-order queue so far and am back and forth between the Raven (which has everything I want except a S35 sensor) vs the Scarlet W.

Just stick the lens on a M4/3 camera like a GH4 or similar.

It's not quite the same. That's more like 2.2x, and I would definitely shy away from that.

Scarlet-W looks light grey in this, but an awesome dark grey in promo material. Is there a difference?

+1 on that

dark grey or black looks a lot better also in combination with modules, mounts, displays etc. The scarlet-w will no longer be used only as a B-Cam, and must be so distinguished. It's a beast! It will be our new Main-Cam. It deserves a nicer color, not light grey... I know, is a matter of taste... But our Rigs would look much sexier so...

I am beginning to reallize the value to RED in making more affordable cameras. Canon users have been so limited on what the cameras output that just giving them this choice, along with in camera ProRes will turn alot of heads and there are a lot of Canon users out there.
