Will "MAROON" be released with the SCARLET just as the EPIC, or is it next gen after the EPIC/SCARLET?

It's a trademark registered last month by RED. You can read the entry here.

Interestingly, they've also registered WEAPON-X at the same time in the category of "time pieces, namely clocks, watches and components thereof." Will RED start making watches? And watch out, Apple, REDTUNES is coming as well as a complete RED OS operating system!

Yeah I'm guessing they are hoping to file for any possible red-derived colors. I wouldn't read too much into this, for one thing it's just a name. For another thing they probably want to reserve the right to name a camera as some point in the future more than they actually have one on the way. Or it could be RED's next-gen camera.

To be honest, I think after the LG scarlet, theyre probably just covering their backs for (possible) future products.

On a side note, I flew Virgin America recently when I was in the states and noticed their inflight entertainment service is called RED.

Nothing amazing, but it did say RED with the little tm trademark logo top right...
