Hi All,

I've set a bunch of markers in Final Cut Pro and I'd like to transfer them to Redcine X so I can export stills from the marker locations. However, when I import the fcpxml file, the clips appear but the markers are gone. I'm using Redcine X Pro build 42 and Final Cut Pro 10.3.4. I've tried both absolute and edge timecode. Interestingly, when I re-export the xml from Redcine and open it in FCP, the markers are still there (although new markers I added in Redcine are gone).

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rob

Okay. I'm no expert at this so correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems Redcine only imports/exports relative TC XML (no matter what I set in the import/export dialogs). If I set a marker on the 10th frame in FCP then export to XML I get the following in the fcpxml:

<video offset="622829000/25000s" ref="r2" start="622829000/25000s" duration="422000/25000s"/>
<marker start="622839000/25000s" duration="1000/25000s" value="Marker 1"/>

If I import that xml into Redcine, the marker is gone.

If I then create a new marker on the 10th frame in Redcine and export a fcpxml from there I get the following:

<video offset="622829000/25000s" ref="r2" start="622829000/25000s" duration="422000/25000s"/>
<marker start="622839000/25000s" duration="1000/25000s" value="Marker 1"/>
<marker start="10000/25000s" duration="1000/25000s" value="Marker 02"/>

The result is the same whether I select absolute or relative timecode in the export dialog.

Is this a bug? Or am I missing something?
