REDUCATION coolness.
So I gave up my Sunday Football to see Mark L. Pederson from OffHollywood give us the most comprehensive bootcamp on 3D at REDucation during its last day.
In 1 day I feel that he single handily taught us enough to feel we have a better understanding on how powerful and how complex working with 3D from production all the way threw post can be.
I took as much as I possibly could in. Due to the fact that its coming from the mouth of a person whom has to deal with the production of 3D shoots from cameras all the way threw to finishing post.
Mark has a wonderful understanding on how to convey all the information to us who knew from little to lots.
If you ever ever get the opportunity to listen to Mark speak about 3D, Do it. When it comes to getting us to understand what to look out for. HE gets it.
If I were in NY id go straight to Mark if i were to be dealing with 3D.
Hope that helps some of ya.
I get nothing from this I just feel the community should know that Mark L. Pederson gets it and can explain it.
They rig was provided by Element Technica.
Cameras of course RED1
Software portions by Newtek
What I finally gathered was, its amazing on how 3D works and it will be something special when someone starts to push it into a new frontier, potentially they will introduce us to new exciting breakthrew ideas, visually and storytelling.
And financially the bottom line is the Studios are making lots of MONEY off this.
Statistically it seems that you can make lots more money from offering 3D as a way of viewing your movie or show.
So weather you feel its a fad, or trick, great or stupid. You cannot deny the Money its making.
You can get on board now or later, but your eventually gonna get on-board. I hope im not too late.
I think Marks words were along the lines of WE HAVE NOT EVEN SCRATCHED THE SURFACE... something like that.
