I think an option for each thread that is a checkbox that says "filter for Red" that then only shows what someone from Red posts would be great. That way you have the option of reading everything, or just getting the comments made by someone at Red. Usually their comments are a reply to someone else and have the context in them so that would neatly summarize that information. When I read through "posts by Jim" by clicking his name, I sometimes can't see the context so I have to select the posts to read them.

... i would think,

two filters, one based on "Person/Contributor" and another based on "Keywords/Tags" ... would do well ...

Tags could be context related ... or self assigned flags by the poster as in:
"RED, Fact, Idea, Joke, Proposal, Speculation" .... or some variation thereof ....

... furthermore, a "like" button could help to tap into the social IQ ... and would reduce the "chatter" as a simple way of showing appreciation ...

I think "Facebook like" as an example, is genius.
What if we would have this for threads ... :sifone:

(the thanked and thanked by, provided by the forum software options is confusing, it needs clarity in language, simplicity)

... now, if we would see all of the above in a simple, dynamic, real time implementation (AJAX) ...

we would have a solution catering to the different needs of our tribe ...

You can click on those to jump to the next post in a thread made by Me, Jim, Deanan, Rob, Graeme, Brent, Kelly, Big Jon, Ted, etc. So if there is a thread with 50 pages of posts.. you can just click on those buttons to skip through the " official " replies.

When you see a Black Icon

it means that you have hit the last Team Member post in a thread.

Ups. that was a coincidence, to test it, i clicked on the "View first unread" and it went to Jarreds post giving me the impression, they are connected ...

Anyhow, the RED TEAM quick navigation to the next post works and it helps a lot !!!
Looks like the button in the upper left of the page goes to the first RED post ... and the buttons in the individual posts jump to the respective next.
