Is Melvin badass? Yessir! Lots of posts with hahas re Mr. Melvin. Great still by the way. Not your standard 3 point lighting. What has slipped between the cracks is Red's customer service. I've lurked (and dreamed) around these forums for about two years. I've posted only a handful of times. What I think speaks volumes is that Mr. Jannard and his team has taken it upon themselves to value a long term client. Yes, it sucks that bad things happen to good people. Thank God that nobody was harmed. Point is the loss is not Red's fault or responsibility. Sure, insurance can cover the monetary loss, but to be next in line to get another Epic M when others have a big fat check ready? That's huge and screams of how Red takes care of their own! To say I'm impressed would be an obnoxious understatement. I say hats off to Mr. Jannard and Red, and hope to get a fraction of that customer service when I purchase my Red camera, because I wouldn't expect this consideration from Arri, Sony, Panasonic or Canon. Oops, I forgot. Those guys (won't use the word competition) would never offer a hand machined, pre-mass-produced camera in the first place. Bravo RED.

For just a fraction of an instant I thought . . . "What? I won the lottery and I didn't even buy a ticket!" Then I realized which Mark . . .

sigh

I hate to be such a fud!

But Im so confused about the list of scarlets and epics that are coming out .It seems to change daily and all I want is a list !

What are the list of the new cameras and what spec are they!

I know scarlet fixed lens is the cheapest but what are the other models?

Is there two versions of the scarlet coming? how many epic versions are there, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE IN SPECS! even the roughest idea of pricing what be so welcome.

Id give my right arm for a list right now!

As you should. I want the high-res master. This is the stuff that makes kick ass posters.

I love the detail in the image. His tattoos on his arm ... the detail in the wood of the stool ... great shot. Really impressed.

And yeah ... thanks to everyone who helped get this baby built. I really don't even want to think about, or even talk about the loss of #00006 - it is STILL truly heart-breaking - and I'm still pissed to hell - but what I will say is the following -

After you get an EPIC - and you shoot her - and you get to know her - after that .... every day without her - really hurts.

I sincerely hope that everyone who gets one of these cameras - never loses one. Trust me - it sucks hard.

Helmet on. Round two!
