I'm relatively new, so please pardon the question about the basics, but a search has not answered my problem. I'm syncing some dual system r3d with broadcast wavs. I've done it on other gigs using the auto match function without a problem, this epic had an issue with the TC being off a few frames even when a lock-it box rode on the camera all day. (The prod co that owns the gear refuses to allow us to upgrade the firmware = an issue for another day). So I was syncing up manually, but even when I change the waveform view for the audio all the way down to 2 frames, after I line it up and export the clip (prores), the audio and video end up a frame or two off when I play them in FCP7. What is going wrong here?

Here are some snapshots of what I lined-up in redcine-x, exported, then how the audio is off a frame in FCP7. While the snapshots don't show it, the video for both is lined up and the first point where the sticks touch/close.

Hard to know what the issue is with the info you've given. I'm currently on a job where I've been manually syncing dailies for 3 weeks and haven't had any problems. Are you using the latest RedCine-X? Have you opened the prores clips in another program to see if the issue is consistent?

Pete that's good to know that it's working for you. Can both of you list what your settings are? (i.e. fps) Dan if you're still experiencing this issue please email redcinex at red dot com and attach a saved report using RCX's help menu -> "Save Report..."

Thanks
