We are in the final stages of prepping and ingesting all our previous media into CatDV, and I want to make sure we have the foundation set up right so I don't spend a month ingesting only to find out we did something wrong and have a huge mess on my hands.
This is my first MAM migration, so I'm looking for advice and feedback from those who've been there.
I really appreciate the input, I am excited about the migration but I need to make sure it doesn't become a nightmare.

- What metadata are you guys applying from your folder structure?
- When you ingest something, does it go straight to a specific catalog or do you have a special place for incoming?
- How did you clean up your old files and folders prior to ingest?
- What would you do differently, looking back on your MAM migration, that would make things better?
- How do you keep people from bringing s&*t in?
- Any other wisdom or advice for a successful migration?
