  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Making an impression.

I made a point of setting up our Redray right by the front door to our little office. People are mesmerised.

At some point I'm going to have to ask the assembled group of couriers, postmen, window cleaners and assorted clients to leave...

What are you playing and (content and resolution) what display (size) etc are you using? Are you using audio as well as video? What is the wow factor over say the same source content played on a bluray and on a same sized 1080p display? My guess is its the content you shot and are displaying and not much to do with 4K or the Redray.

65" toshiba UHD screen. Mute in our reception area, so audio not a factor. Significantly people can stand / view from wherever they choose and that's a big factor. People want to reach and out and touch when they realise the picture doesn't fall apart as they approach the big screen.

I have the same content as H264 on a 55" 1080p screen i the same room - its the 4k / redray combo that does it for people, and everyone (who knows the tech) is surprised that it shows so well. The Redray connected to the plain old 55" 1080p is also leagues ahead of bluray/h264 delivery at 1080p.

Nobody is more surprised than me at the tangible response to the material in person, hence my post.

Oh and content is mostly our reel and some current projects. Have the Red 800 reel too which is awesome, but I like the honesty of being able to say, 'everything you see, we did'

Thanks John for answering my questions so quickly. Your answers put everything into perspective and are a ringing endorsement of the Redray.

Nice one John! Good to hear the your work and RedRay is turning heads
