  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Major_problem_build_20.1.3!!!

Hi Jeremy,

I just responded to your email. thanks

We just rented a REDone from AbelCine in NY, and we are getting the SATA_TRANS_FAULT_ERROR on both drives and drive cables with the b 20.1.6. I was wondering if we could upgrade the build on set so we can watch playback. I would like to just take the camera and drives back to the rental house, but we are around at least 3 hours away from the rental house. Should I just revert back to build 17 for the time being or ask the rental house for there info so I can do the upgrade on set after we wrap?

A reason you are running 20.1.6? And not current release build 21.4.1?

Anyways, I would of course discuss with the people you rented the gear from - but you should also open a support ticket on red.com/support so tech support can walk you through some troubleshooting.

I don't really know why the rental house sent us a RED with build 20.1.6, the producer picked up the camera gear and delivered it to us on set while we were doing lighting, and I thought it was the current build until I started up the camera. I will file a support ticket, thank you.
