  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Frankly, it seems a lot of DP'S are worried about their jobs. God forbid some college wannabe shoots his own film and everyone says it looks great.... Plus DP's are generally curmudgeons to begin with...
 
I dont get it..

they slag off red, pha people think that 4k makes them great.. rubbish.

You don't need 4k.. look at Blair W its all about the story!

wern't they nobodys with a camera? so they need to be worried either way? not really.. everyone has a place.

So a nobody.. or god forbid a somebody, with a red and a good story...

If your good at your job you have nothing to worry about. For me there are to many people out there calling themsleves pro's.
 
So, I woke up this morning feeling like I was mauled by a bear...
Was actually three bears in dentist costumes in fact!
And I was sitting on the dentist's chair all day long yesterday from 11am to 9pm
So I fire up my browser and what do I see?
Jim has some good and some "bad" news, I knew nothing could be worse than what I had yesterday and I was right!
It's just Great and plain News, nothing bad whatsoever :tongue:

And getting my camera around September-ish? Works fine for me, just enough time to start shooting on Late Fall as originally scheduled :w00t:

I know! "September-ish" sounds AWFULLY soon! I gotta finish my current SD SpyFest project, and finish writing my RED script NOW!
 
It's not like if your images are mediocre, the REDcam is going to magically make your images amazing!? Yes it's going to be a wonderful tool...but not in the hands of someone who does'nt know what they're doing!
