Majestic Roll | MōVI Pro FW1.4 Beta

[Christoph Tilley]

Hey folks,

Freefly released FW1.4 beta for the MōVI Pro which supports Majestic Roll. Now you can smoothly control camera roll as a single operator. I am pretty stoked because this opens up a new world of creative camera moves for me.

After installing the new FW, I briefly went outside with my colleagues to get some shots. Here is what I got:

What do you think?
Shot on RED Weapon at 8K in 50fps with the Zeiss Milvus 15mm and quickly graded with Lutify LUTs.

Best,
Chris

This is rad man!

That looks great!

Are you using a focus motor with the 15mm ? Or, is the depth of field covering it?

Thanks,

Tim

Thanks! Usually yes, we use a focus monitor, but for this quick and dirty test I just stopped down between F11 and F16 so focus wasn’t really an issue. I hate the red OLPF dots though.

You can eliminate the red orbs if you use the STH olpf. Its better on the standard and terrible on the llh.

Good to know!

Oh, thanks! I thought the dots were lens flairs, and kind of thought they were cool.
Thanks,

Intereting stuff.

Or put an ND filter to get iris at T8 or lower.
