Hello

Has anyone here taken the week intensive masters class that is offered at Rockport. Already accepted just weighing out the options and seeing if it's worth the money.

Any experiences positive or negative would be appreciate.

Yes. But which masterclass? They offer many. They have a whole 3 months cinematography residency, so you should be more specific...

Hello

"the week intensive masters class"

As stated above I am speaking about the 7 day master class. I have spoken with a few cine friends who have taken it and heard great things, I wanted to see what the reduser world thought about it.

Thanks

I took a directors' master class many years ago. It was of the best weeks I've ever spent learning this craft. But you have to be ready. It's intensely challenging. And it is likely to challenge your assumptions and make you re-think how you work. And you will make connections that can be very valuable. Do it.

I was interested in taking a couple of these workshops a couple of years ago. I would be interested to hear other's opinions on these workshops. They seem pretty pricy but I guess they are cheap compared to full on film school.

With $2000 you can get a lot of equipment and practice, DVDs and book. I did one class and it was not worth it from that point of view... just go out there and shoot.
