So I was looking at making some shirt designs when browsing over the FTC website, it says that in order to use "Made in USA" a substantial portion of the product has to be made in America. I noticed red minimags use the same slogan yet isn't the key component foreign? If you exclude the metal exterior and assembly, isn't most of it foreign?

Maybe it's all measured by mass. So the memory cells of the Minimag are perhaps made in Taiwan, but they weigh probably 1/3 of the total mass of the product.

Is that true? I always assumed that if a significant portion of your product is made elsewhere (memory being the key component of this product) that you have to label it as such? Or maybe because they probably source SSD's from multiple countries it's easier to just list made in USA.
