Shot Machine Gun Kellys last video on a dragon. Overall DR was def there however I will say this I still love my MX image quality. The outside shots were raw in the dead of the sunlight so you can see the DR at its best. It was 12pm on a super sunny day.

Here are a few Wilco lyrics to consider.

From the song "What Light"

"And if the whole world's singing your songs
and all of your paintings have been hung
just remember what was yours is everyone's from now on."

I think that the last line is a good one, art is created to share and influence and create discourse. When you put it out there, everyone "owns it" in a way.

Take it as a compliment if anyone ever borrows what you do. It means you are still original.

In terms of film. Very little is being done that DW Griffiths did not already do.

Nice work on the video. Some pretty Byzantine biblical themes in there.

crazy mixup huhhh apparently someone stole that horse clip and put it for licensing on pond5 not good. Great horse clip though.

mmmmmmm...... That's like very rude.

Good way to loose street cred very quickly.

Mark,
Your too funny. Im going to brush off that comment due to your ignorance in the situation. Apparently someone stole the clip and put it for license online which i paid for. I actually never license footage but the horses legs were epic. You might want to find out whats going on prior to chiming in ;) The persons wife actually contacted me and I gave her a copy of my reciept and so on. Note to self never license footage from pond5 or anyone else again or according to "The Great" Mark TOIA i will lose street cred haha …...

Let me get this straight.

A reduser posted shots of their work online.
Someone stole those shots and posted them to pond 5
another reduser bought those shots online to use in their video.
That user posted the video here only to have the original author discover the work had been stolen.
Pond 5 is a reduser sponsor!

Man. I think I might have to completely stop posting any images. It's just awful that this goes on.

Yeah my wife/producer worked it out with him. Looks like people steal content and upload it to pond 5. Fasnciso didn't know it was stolen, he made a great video and am happy that my shot worked for his spot.

Pond 5 is no good guys.

Sorry Francisco. Did not know the back story.
I have had shots of mine stolen many times. See them popping up all over the place when I travel the world. I have also caught a few guys running around with shots and some of my tv ads in their showreels! pretending they did the work. To say a lawyer whipped
So I'm a bit jumpy on this subject.

Anyways. I publicly apologize to you.

Nice vid by the way.

I understand its a touchy subject with creators. Being that I do a ton of music videos especially urban videos. I have have treatments stolen, been not paid and a whole bunch of other grimy issues take place. It made me dot my ts and cross my i's. Appreciate the kind words and I publically accept your apologie ;)

Cheers,

Can I just ask if anyone reported this to pond 5 and what their response was?

I would not necessarily blame Pond 5. They have to rely on the information that the producer gives them about the clip. If Pond 5 is given false information, they will not know it unless they have actually seen the clip elsewhere, and remembered it.
This reminds me of a story about a special effects supervisor that worked on an early space scify film. A few years later when he had another company, a potential employee brought in a demo reel that had shots of the original movie. Not only that, not knowing that he was in front of the spx supervisor, boasted that he was the right hand man, etc., etc. Of course he hadn't been anywhere near the film nor did he know the supervisor.
Oops!
Bottom line: this goes on all of the time, and sometimes it takes an accidental discovery to expose a fraud.

He did say loose... not lose. ha ha ha...

Ok I'm just stirring the pot. It amazes me at what length some people will go to get money or self bloated fame, just to get ahead of the next guy. Look on the bright side, the guys footage is now in a really great music video, and needless to say, it's a damn great shot.

Glad it got sorted.

PS. Awesome video.
