Seems like Macs have lost their virginity. Turns out that some non-legal copies of PS CS4 and iWork have a trojan installed that will launch attacks on other computers.

Fortunately, there is a free program available to check (and kill) the bugger.

Jump over to http://www.macnn.com/articles/09/04/17/mac.based.botnet.active/ for more information, or get the download at http://www.securemac.com/

Good news is, there is still not a single virus attacking OSX.

Thank for sharing

Thanx for the heads up!! :)

Yes, in more ways that one. I got a encryption virus that totally nuked 2 of my macs (10.4). BOTH drives where totally garbage, but just fine after re-format.

This was an evil virus. Almost every file got encrypted and no rescue/disk tool could save them. Now I'm running ClamXav, and don't use my workstations for download anymore.

How do you know it was a virus? Just curious and looking for more info, not doubting you.
