I bought this Mac Pro in March and have edited all of my backlog of 4K projects with it. Now I’m going to be shooting in remote locations for over a year so I don’t want to let it just sit idle. It’s a fairly loaded system, the only thing I didn’t max out was the number of cores, it seemed that 8 cores was the sweet spot for best overall performance and I haven’t been disappointed. It has 2 years of Apple Care that won’t start ticking down until March. I'm going to put it on eBay but REDUSER gets first crack at it. the price is $6000 which is $200 under the current Apple Store Refurb price and $1300 under current retail price (not including the $249 Apple Care). PayPal OK. Shipping is on you, your choice of carrier.

Update

Update

I'm just doing an update on my Mac Pro system since I've been out of communication for awhile.

I am in Africa, but the system is in Oregon at my son's house, packed and ready for quick shipment.

My son will be leaving the US on Mar 16 to join me in Africa for a couple weeks, so shipping is possible before the 16th or After April 2 when he gets back to the US.

I hate to see this MacPro just sitting in a box waiting to ship out to some new owner. I'm dropping the price to $5250. If you bought this on Apple's Refurb store, it would be $6200, and would not have the AppleCare policy! This machine churns through RED footage like it's just HD!

I currently have a Mac Pro 6core, D500 with 64 Gb of RAM. After upgrading to the Dragon, I do need to upgrade. If you are willing to sell the D700s GPU outright. Please let me know. Are you in need of any glass and are you open for a trade. I have a Zeiss 35mm CP2 that I am willing to trade. Let me know if you are interested.

I will continue to monitor your post.

Ok, my beautiful MacPro has been sitting around in a box while I've been traveling, and I've tried to give you fellow RED users first crack at it because it's awesome for RED Raw post, but I'm going to have to get a bit more proactive in selling it. On Saturday (Jul 18) I'm going to list it on eBay with a Buy Iy Now price of $5995. So if you want it for my RedUser special price of $5250, time to get off the pot.
