  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Mac Pro 2010 Advice

I second that, I picked up the 2.4 Westmere on the weekend after reading this thread. I got 2-2TB Seagates and Avid MC. I would like to upgrade my RAM and I think I need faster drives for transcoding.

If anyone has advice on a configuration (without Red Rocket) to transcode (ie - specific drive speed/RAM config) to avoid bottlenecks I would appreciate it.
