Mac OS 12 Monterey on Unsupported Macs [2008-2014]

Performed this Open Core based hack that allows running Monterey on older Mac
systems that are not officially supported by Apple.

Used it to upgrade a Mac Pro 5,1 2010 system.
It's free, it works, and was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be.
Good way to extend life out of some older systems that still can get the job done.

Just did this on my 3,1 Mac pro. Thanks a ton for the post. I followed the Mr Macintosh video. He is incredibly concise and easy to follow. After a couple hiccups and redos I have to say the damn thing is running better than ever, although I’m sure that has a lot to do with the addition of an SSD boot drive.

Great to read your post and glad it helped Jeffrey.
I had a Mac Pro 3,1 too but it unfortunately developed a hardware issue a couple of years ago.
Like the other Mac Pros they are tough machines.
I'm glad Open Core Legacy exists as it helps keep those systems going.
Hope your 3,1 gives you more years of productivity.
