Hey all! I think I'm one of the crazy few that saved up and bought into the Monochrome, and I have absolutely, absolutely loved the camera. Though I'm still working with "just" the DSMC1 Epic-X Mysterium-X Monochrome, I've used it on some music videos, live shoots, and a couple documentary projects now and am always floored by the images coming out of it. There really is no comparison to trying to desaturate a color image.
Anyways, hype aside, I like to also share the camera with good friends who are curious and spread the B&W love so they can see what it's all about.
My buddies at Big Foot Media here in Chicago borrowed it for a day, and put together this little promo for the Joffrey Ballet's Swan Lake.

If you don't know the story, the short version is that a prince falls in love with a princess named Odette, who was put under the spell of a sorcerer. She now spends her days as a swan and her nights back in her true form.
The prince, at one point, thinks he is spending his time dancing with Odette, but it's really the sorcerer's daughter Odile, who has been transformed to appear as Odette. (The prince then discovers the trick, and shit goes down.)
Anyways, my buddies at Big Foot wanted to play off of this imposter moment, so take a look at what they came up with!
