I'm new to working with LUT's, so maybe my questions are silly, but here goes:

Are there LUT's for making red-raw Epic to look like Alexa?

Are there LUT's for converting RedLog film to RedColor 2 or RedColor 3?

Are there other LUT's that are really usefull or aesthetically interesting that I should get hold on?

I'm no expert, I just got into this as well. Look up a thread called: The summer blockbuster look.
It's a few days old. The guy that made the tutorial has a link to a few Kodak and Fuji LUT's on his web page. Great tutorial too

Reduser Nick Shaw has the RedGamma LUTs for RLF. Check out antlerpost.com for Nick's work.

Google search this forum for LUT and redlogfilm. There are some epic threads about this that are very educational. You can use the Alexa LUT download tool to choose a LogC to lin LUT. Color matrix isn't needed there since RLF selects the color decode already.

Key takeaway is that RLF is fully Cineon/DPX compliant. My understanding is you just want a 1d LUT to get the gamma linear again and the RED software does the color matrix, i.e. redcolor 123.

Software that correctly implements the LogC2Lin transformation is for example Nuke, for reference.

What Brett says.

Nicks LUTS are good. Im told you may also benefit from some sort of diffusion applied or 1/4 soft. To my eye the main difference appears to be the way highlights are rolled off in Alexa given the same glass and grade.
