I directed and shot this short film on contract for Google/YouTube to showcase their new 4K playback feature.

No, you're not reading that wrong, YouTube in 4K! If you have a 30" computer monitor you can probably get pretty close to seeing the full 4K resolution, just use the pop-up and select "Original" just above 1080P.

Wow. When did youtube go to 4k? I'm waiting for it to load.. hmmm

Wow, that looks AMAZING! I can't believe I am watching web video. You can see some compression artifacting on out of focus sections but, wow, it is super sharp on the in focus sections. Never bet against the advancement of technology. Did anyone think they would be watching Youtube in 4k two years ago???

Looks great! :-) Very nice work.

Looks crisp...VERY NICE Evin!

The 4K option went live today, YouTube gave me the budget to make this so they could have some exclusive content for the launch. I think few other Redusers were contracted as well, although I don't know who.

Yes Sanjin, Angie 24-290 and 15-40.

Envious of those who got to work on this- looks like it was a smashing good time.

And the walls came down...

On demand, full on distribution for films and TV... Good bye cable. I wonder how they will make this sustainable, ads or fees or both?

You're kidding right? Google has become the behemoth it is on click based advertising and Youtube is no small part of their future plans for world domination.
