I expect news about how things are progressing. Perhaps a window on some more features or modules now working.

I'd like to think / hope that we'll be out of tattoo by the end of the month. If not, then I suspect my "Epic release at the end of the year" to be a little more optimistic than I had planned.

We'll see.. But I'm happy to see the days of 2010 winding down. I still have hope for an Epic and all its goodies this year.. I've got a DVD to make damit!

PS actually, I'd be more interested in hearing about the alternative recording options and when they will be available than Epic or Scarlet right now, since this issue is even more pressing because it's affecting people right now, at this moment.

Here's hoping!

Monstro 645 FTW! ...Hey, I wonder what a Monstro chip looks like with a dollop of HDRx caviar on it? Hmmm....

All in good time I suppose. I want my Epic-X cams yesterday. :)

I don't think "Lull" and Red go together well.

We seriously need a better thread topping the Recon list. :wink5:

Don't you think?

They'll release the frickin' footage as soon as they are ready to release it. What's the mystery??

The mystery is whether or not it actually delivers, because I don't blindly trust any digital camera manufacturer. Nothing against Red, it's just that digital cameras are so inconsistent, even within one particular brand. I can't trust digital like I can trust shooting on Panavision. So that's all I'm after - confidence in the look of the footage that the Epic and Scarlet produce.

But at the same time, I have heard what people are saying on here. I understand why Red ISN'T releasing footage, and I respect that. So I will sit back and wait patiently.

I guess the next mystery is why you are so unnecessarily vicious. Lighten up.

Yeah, the hundreds of hours of film and television delivered by RED One cameras in the last couple years is a mystery.

I'm not a betting man, but I'd have no problem placing my bets on RED.

RED is different from other companies, their habit of communicating with us is a big part of why we love them. When has Sony or Canon ever released anything that didn't go through their PR departments first? Where's the Canon forum where the CEO posts news about upcoming products? Does Sony have one?

So that's all I'm after - confidence in the look of the footage that the Epic and Scarlet produce.
Check out the RED MX reel or watch some of the TV shows shot on MX. It's the same sensor. Epic will be at least as good. If that doesn't give you confidence, I have to ask: what more do you need?
