  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Luis Vuitton ad

It is simply STUNNINGLY beautiful. Its been a long time since I have seen something as beautiful as this. Maybe never, in my 17yrs as a DP. Sure its cinematic masturbation, but who ever said that masturbation was bad. I know I can watch this ad many times and not go blind, in fact it is an eye opener. Anyone who cant see that must surely like a converted Sigma lens ;-)

THANKYOU!

I agree. This is one of my fav spots...it's simple and beautifully executed.

OH GOD!!! I have a new best friend...SIGMA HATER meet Sigma Hater ;)

Hi billy,

There is a lot of compositing in the ad I think. As exemple some of foregroung are sometime blurred a litte bit, That gives a focus on some part of the image. How many of image have been twick on the flame?

Its not necessarily blurs done in post. I watch a vid on the australian Panavision site, where they have a rig between the lens and the film, that thy can move a glass filter in x.y.z axis and make blurs and all kinda things... looked cool. if you have the $$$ its called the Hylen?
