The Quantum 600A LTO-3 drive is absolutely fantastic. We purchased one last summer and it has done everything we need it to do. The drag and drop functionality of it makes it amazingly simple to use. We've used it directly plugged into our MacBook Pro as well as with our larger machines in the studio. Since it is Gig-E, it can simply plug right into your existing network and be accessible by any computer with an internet browser, no need to install anything. You have access to every file on the tape through the Java based applet, and it's cross platform, so it's just as easy to use from either a mac or pc. We bought it primarily for archiving all our .r3d media, but since we've been waiting for our camera, we've found so many uses for this drive.
