Hi friends I am shooting with Dragon, some times My client don't want 6k.so if I could export low resolution, like 2k R3D from REDCINE-X that is very help full.Unfortunately that option doesn't exist in Redcine-X.If that option will have in near future ,I can keep my 6k footage as digital negative, then I can work very easily 2k R3d with all RAW magic and no frame crop.no need any monster PC or Mac.No need export any Codec.just work with R3d until the final delivery . What you guys think about that.please..............

Thanks

I think you'd be far better off working in a different offline format.
If you need to grade from it and just use one version from editing to finish, prores 444 RLF is probably the simplest solution. Then you can go back and re-export the frames you need for re-framing after edit.

Another option would be to go prores log, and conform to R3D for colors.

If you want "offline R3D", the only current way is to do a tethered recording through the network port.
I don't know how that affects the SSD recording though (like: Do u have to use the same compression settings on the SSD recorder)

What you are suggesting is essentially an online/offline workflow, and those exist and work very well.

I also suggest you have a look here:
