I'm getting low mic levels when I plug my NTG-2 rode mic into the front audio ports of my scarlet. I have a feeling I have something set up wrong on the camera software or maybe I'm using the incorrect cables? The NTG-2 has no independent gain controls so it's line level into the camera. When I plug in my lav mice, I can adjust the gain on those and the levels are fine. Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I also own the NTG-2 and use it with my Scarlet. First of all, what kind of cable are you using? Is it the Red 1/8th to XLR? A couple of things to check. Go into your audio menu and make sure that balanced is selected. Also if you are using phantom make sure it is set up correctly as well. If you are not using phantom from the camera, make sure your battery in the mic is fresh. Let us know if that works.
