Is there a preference for any manufactures Low Contrast Filter and suitability for use with Epic MX or Dragon. Its mentioned users could use 1/4 low con which Id like to try in camera.

Also is there any Post Filter that can be used to near exactly replicate an optical low con filter but applied in post.

This is an excellent thread ... is a bit old ( http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?32364-Diffusion-Filters-(Test-Comparisons-on-Red) ). I have been referencing that thread in my notes, as I am building nuke nodes for simulating lowcon filters and older lenses in low light conditions. Of specific interest is David Mullen ASC going through some classic movies (i.e. Kubrik), explaining things in detail. I think David's explanation in that thread is the best I've seen in cleaning up some misunderstandings on those filters.
