Does anyone know how the strange distortions are achieved? I know quite a bit of it is post (the blurring is not real tilt shift) but as for the strange bokeh and streaking do you think they are they doing this by holding plates of glass in front of the lens or something?

Any ideas?

No idea if this was used but for sure, I know you can do the chromatic / spectral aberrations & decentered blurring with the Lensbaby kits.

This has been discussed for 3 years now so go through the threads about it, but basically it's crystals in front of lens - more beautiful than lens baby etc
