Lots of Kids and EPICs at Camp RED

First day of Camp RED is in the books and what a first day it was, exhausting and exhilarating! - I had a feeling it was going to be fun having 50 kids at RED Studios shooting EPIC and RED ONE, but it exceeded even my expectations on how much fun it was!

In this case Pictures are much more valuable than me trying to tell you all the fun things that happened on the very first day... Here is a selection of the first day of Camp that I've posted on the REDucation and Camp RED Filckr photo site.

More to come as we start editing the projects and preparing for the First Camp RED film festival for all the kids and parents on Friday night.

update on Aug 2nd:

Here's the day 2 of camp RED photos. Kids and Counselors really getting up to speed now on shooting EPIC & RED ONE, editing, green screen compositing, enjoying Red SnowCones and having a great time!

Here's day 3 camp RED fun - lots of 3D RED ONE and EPIC music video shooting, rough cuts coming together nicely for the Camp RED film festival for the campers and Parents on Friday!

Great stuff! Can't wait to get to LA and help out. See you Friday :)

The future of film making right there. Great to see!

Loved the little guy holding the boom three times his size. :) Great pictures, looks like you guys are having a blast!

I guess this finally settles the question of whether or not RED cameras are just for big folks like Jarred Land.

Very Nice

That's me in the checkered shirt in those pics, these kids are more amazing than you can even imagine.
Their ideas are pure and unfiltered and its amazing to see them come to the same conclusions as highly paid professionals. and sometimes do it better!

I wish I was 13!

I never thought I'd be so jealous of a group of kids! I hope they realize how lucky they are! I still haven't even touched an Epic....yet
