Well a week or two ago I flew into Honolulu from LAX with United. Checked two bags. Only one made it to the carousel. The missing bag definitely arrived in Honolulu - it was scanned all the way there, and coming off the plane - but I never saw it again. United have had over a week to track & trace, and the likeliest conclusion is that it's been thieved, either off the carousel, or as an 'inside job', or both (it was checked as media baggage). Funny coincidence, how a random snatch thief would grab the one bag with a lot of expensive gear in it...

Apart from a bunch of kids presents, old computer bits, clothes etc, it contained the following gear:

- a brand new Atomos Shogun, NOT in the Atomos Pelican-style case; packed in another box with cables batteries chargers etc.

- A Red Quickplate setup (middle bit of my Clutch actually)

- A DSMC mount for Canon FD

- Several mount adapters for Sony A7S - PL, FD, Nikon etc.

- A box of sound gear; cables, Azden & Rode shotguns, a Sony short shotgun, and a wireless Lav set.

- A RED PRO EVF Pelican case with all my tools in it.

Would be obliged if anyone in Hawaii would keep their ears to the ground!

Thanks

Mike
