Hi Guys

I just replaced the PL mount on my EPIC with the Canon mount and I noticed that I cant seem to control the lens aperture anymore....in the past I was able to open and close the aperture with the +/- rocker switch on the DSMC side handle....but now the camera doesn't seem to detect the lens even and the area in the top left that usually displays the F stop on electronic lenses is greyed out and only shows " -_- ". I tried a couple of different lenses to make sure its not a lens specific problem and I already reset the camera to factory defaults, never had any issues with this in the past. Has anyone else encountered this issue before ?

thanks for any help.

Did you re-seat the mount? I'd suggest to take it off, carefully inspect the contacts and try again.

Cheers, Ulf

I have had problems with mine that I need to rotate the lens a bit to get contact. Next time you loose contact try to rotate the canon lens a bit then you will probably get it back.

I'm having the same problem all of a sudden. I was using the Canon mount and it was working, then I switched over to PL mount. When I put the Canon mount back on I had lost aperture control. When I depress the rocker switch, the display says "Key Action: Iris: Open" and "Key Action: Iris: Close" so the instructions are getting to the brain, but not getting to the lens. I've taken the Canon mount off several times, cleaned the contacts, but still no aperture control. Any tips?

Thanks in advance.
