Hello

first day of a 19 day shoot. Very hot and humid in Baltimore. We are setting looks using the curve And gain values. We are on build 20.0.2 shooting to drive. Whenever we power cyle I loose my toe value in the camera. All other value stay the same. Has anyone seen this?

It's weird. After a power cycle it seemingly resets just the tow vale back to 25,25 but after looking at metadata all the clips still have the look applied. Maybe graeme or Stuart can chime in.

TOE values

TOE values

After a power cycle it seemingly resets just the tow vale back to 25,25 but after looking at metadata all the clips still have the look applied.

Looks like the UI is reporting these values at 25 , 25 irrespective of what you have told them to be.

But if you select another value - such as KNEE - then go back to TOE they will report the correct value you entered.

And this value is the same value as is recorded as metadata, so a apparently a UI feedback bug only.

Maybe this isn't the right place to put it, but I also noticed that you can't move the black point to the right in the camera curves menu. Zero is the lowest it will go. Has anything changed since build 18? I slide the black point to the right to crush the blacks in Red Alert after lifting the image but can't recreate that curve in-camera.

Stuart

I will check to see if I move over to knee and back if it shows.

Micheal, it still looks right on monitor ie has the look applied. I would also like the the x value of black to be changed. Is that a limitation of the camera Stuart?

Cheers

Tone Curve

Tone Curve

Yes, the X values of Black and White cannot be changed in camera...

.. this has always been the implementation since TONE CURVE was added in as a camera function.
