  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Looks...

Deanan

I just received my EPIC-M so I'm testing looks on Epic.
Is it correct that you can import a RMD but it only shows the image metadata and not the curve nor the Lift-Gamma-Gain information?
All the information is in the RMD. Will it be implemented later?

Thanks

curve and LGG is not available yet. That will come later.

Possible addition to looks....

Possible addition to looks....

To calibrated monitors or not to calibrated monitors....That is the question.

Seems to me the camera is calibrated.

Maybe it would be possible to have your software display an image to the screen say a single color that is rapidly cycled, have the camera photograph the image and create a monitor "look".

Then use this monitor look to create a "corrected" look so that the non calibrated monitor is as close to calibrated as is possible given the camera calibration and the output ability of the monitor.

This would require a monitor look and a camera look and as such is a lot more work in software.

Its a lot of work but it would really open up a world of possibilities at the low end for the poor college types who only own your camera.

Don't you love how everyone has ideas that would cost your money to implement :)
