fyi this should be posted in the red products for sale section under wanted. There is usually a ton of second hand cameras for sale there as well. Please keep in mind the transfer of ownership fees, warranty of 90 days and the implications though. Insurers will not cover wear and tear and given the recent price cut getting an new Epic (at least the brain/sensor new) with a extended warranty could very well end up being worth it. Just food for thought. I bought used and had a board die, and between that and the transfer of ownership fees if I had to do it again even if I bought the accessories and media used I'd probably get a new brain with 3 year warranty just to cover all bases since I now know from my life lesson that a camera bricking on it own randomly without a drop or something to cause it just won't be covered. In the world of digital the problem is bricking camera, no matter what brand is a significant issue, and having no protection against this issue (or only 90 days of protection) just seems kind of like a bad idea if your not getting a significant discount on the brain price

Thanks for the heads up. It's not allowing me to post a thread in the Market place forum. Not sure why!!

I take your point. Buying the brain brand new (price drop), certainly the new sensor / warranty is very appealing. 90 days is shocking. I will take your advice very seriously.

My only concern is the waiting list for the dragon. To be honest I have been looking for a second hand Epic for a little while now and have had no luck. I can only assume it's due to the Dragon upgrade.

Thanks,

Brian. This particular forum won't let Louis start a thread in that section until his "probation period" is up.
Per the Marketplace Guidelines posted by Jason Ramsey:

#4) ATTN: Newly registered members: (January 11, 2014) If you have just joined, you may find you cannot create a thread in any of the Marketplace sub-forums. New users will be placed on a 60-day probation period before they can create new threads in the Marketplace. This means, you are forbidden from selling items before you have been a member for at least sixty (60) days. New members are free to buy and to post in existing threads, but you cannot sell, or create a new thread until the 60 day benchmark is reached.

I know because I've been aiming to purchase an Epic Dragon and doing a WTB wouldn't work because I recently joined as well.
