Looking To Buy 2 Red Ones

OK I am looking to buy 2 red cameras for a film I'm going to be shooting in Jamaica late september early october.

I'm aware that some people have orders comming up that they do not intend to pick up and are selling. I'm making a low budget indie so I will not pay a huge markup on the price.

FYI, you cannot sell (or buy) a reservation number, only the physical camera. If you buy the camera off someone, you'll lose any warranty.

Also, beware of some scam-artists. Be sure to get a serial number, and check that it is not a stolen camera.

IMHO - considering your timeline until the show, you might be better off renting the cameras. And if you're not thoroughly familiar with the camera, g rent one now and test, test, test.

There's no need to take away from preproduction planning by trying to quickly purchase two cameras in the time you're trying to.
