I am sure I already saw it: an overview with the different data rates for the red one. But I cannot find it again - anybody can help?

hi ludmux,

you will find some information in this thread:

http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2252&highlight=data+rates

(go to the second post)

and some other information on the red.com site:

http://www.red.com/techspecs.shtml

and

http://www.red.com/techspecs.shtml

I listened to a podcast some weeks ago (Interview with Ted Schilowitz - please correct me if i am wrong):

4k Uncompressed RAW 323 MB / s @ 24 fps (12 Bit linear)
4k REDCODE RAW 27 - 30 MB / s @ 24 fps (10 Bit log)
REDCODE RAW is VBR = Variable Bitrate with Wavelet Compression

@ codechef: how do I calculate the Datarate for 2k? (30 MB per second / 4 = 7,5 MB per second?)

all the best,
martin

... and I read the FAQ again ... antoine, you are right: everything is sampled with 12bit unless you decide to reduce the resolution to 10bit.

Thanks,
Martin
